Reverend Jess Moody
Reverend Jess Moody, Founder and First President of Palm Beach Atlantic University, portrait statue by artist Zenos Frudakis. Moody, a former pastor at First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, came to West Palm in 1961 at the urging of Billy Graham to create a Christian university. He served as both pastor and president of Palm Beach Atlantic from 1968-1972. Palm Beach Atlantic University opened with only 84 students and now has a growing enrollment of 3,865 students.
