Convergence
Convergence bronze sculpture by Zenos Frudakis. The sculpture symbolizes the partnership of business and government in building the Secaucus Train Station, an intermodal transit hub served by New Jersey Transit (NJ Transit) and Metro-North Railroad, in Secaucus, New Jersey. The two figures are of Congressman Robert Roe (February 28, 1924 – July 15, 2014) and businessman George Newman.
Newman, who founded Allied Outdoor Advertising, bought the 28-acre site surrounding the Northeast Corridor rail line and adjacent to the New Jersey Turnpike in 1982 to develop the Allied Junction project. Allied Junction was a massive retail, office and residential development built atop the Secaucus Junction Rail Station.
